My biggest wish when I began writing The Cava Queen many moons ago was to create something that gave people a bit of chuckle. Since my ‘book baby’ emerged in December 2011 in all its red shiny gorgeousness, I am pleased to report that there has been evidence of public belly laughing and according to many of the reviews – a reluctance to put the book down even when the children are screaming for food and the ironing pile has reached Pyrenean heights.
I am so proud I could burst.
I am now applying myself to the scary job of producing another – not a hungry child in sight and a wardrobe full of man made stretchy stuff obviously helps on the free time front, along with regular caffeine injections and long walks to help free the mind, enrich the soul and help work off what I call ‘writers butt’. Oh yes, the process of spending countless hours sitting on ones’ derriere whilst in pursuit of literary genius has to be balanced by a level of physical activity somewhat higher than walking to the fridge in search of a snack.
All that remains is to say thank you for coming to visit the site, if you haven’t read the book yet, check out the first three chapters here and then if you like it, visit the shop, maybe order a few and share the laughter with your friends.

I think if I offered to give my adorable and highly talented friend Steve Pound away with each copy I’d have knocked the 50 Shades trilogy off its perch by now! Along with Steve and John Davis, another one of those gorgeous friends from ‘back in the day’, I spent a happy afternoon at The Old Parrs Head in West London shooting this video. We laughed, had a few sherbets and hung out with Betty, the most affable landlady on the planet.
Please have a look, and share it with your friends via Twitter, Facebook, fair means or foul. I appreciate your support in helping me get it out there.
